BAYDA, Nov. 5 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday launched an offensive on the sites and fortifications of the Saudi-led coalition militants in the Yemeni central province of Bayda, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
The attack inflicted massive losses on the militants, in addition to seizing various military equipment.
The commander of the so-called 19th Brigade, Brigadier Ali Saleh al-Kalibi and the leader Walid Mubark the son of Bayhan axis’s commander were captured in the attack, the official said.
The army forces carried out a counterattack on the coalition’s militants when they tried to advance towards Ras al-Dhahar and the preventive point in Natie district.
The official confirmed that the army forces were able to burn; destroy the armored vehicle that was carrying al-Kalibi, as well as two other military pick-up vehicles, amid a mass escape of the militants in Bayhan axis after their leader was captured.
