23 people in Afghan military helicopter crash

SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – At least 23 people were killed as a military helicopter crashed in the southwestern Afghan state of Phra, Wednesday, the official said.

“A total of 23 civilians and member of the Second Army brigade and policemen were martyred in the crash,” the spokesman of the state of Phra Nour al-Haq Khaltili told reporters.

The head of the Farah state council as well as a number of council members, and the assistant of Nematollah Khalil, associate commander of the 207th Infantry Division in the Afghan army were among the victims”.
