Al-Houthi Sends strong messages to United Nations, International Security Council

SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee Mohammed Ali al-Houthi launched a strong campaign accusing the United Nations and the UN Security Council of weakness to take any resolution, saying that the famine executes Yemenis and as Saudi journalist “Khashoggi” was executed.

“When will the United Nations and the Security Council have the courage to admit that the famine executes Yemenis as Khashoggi and stop fighting by the forbidden US- Saudi weapons and its allies in Yemen, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

The coalition is deliberately targeting the Yemeni civilians with double bombardment, under the supervision of US for the air operations “he added.

Al-Houthi called on all free people inside the country and abroad to continue to expose the Saudi-led siege, its destruction of national currency, cutting the salaries and crimes committed against the Yemeni people.

His call coincided with an open campaign especially and the Council will listen to a briefing about famine in Yemen.

He added that the man-made famine was created by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies in Yemen deliberately.

There is a participation of relief organizations in it and there are also points to break the weapon of famine which only needs a decision, he said.

He also noted that the Security Council would hold a meeting in which Mark Lowcock would provide a briefing on the economic situation and famine in Yemen.

He concluded: “We, therefore, remind him, the Secretary-General, the envoy and the members of the Security Council of the solutions we have given in this letter, which confirm the transparency and rapid arrival of assistance and overcome the corruption and obstacles.”
