SANAA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said on Wednesday that it has treated over 170,000 children under the age of five with severe acute Malnutrition.
“Despite all the challenges, more than 170,000 Yemeni children under the age of five, who suffer from severe acute malnutrition in Yemen, have received nutritional and therapeutic care,” The organization said on its Twitter account.
UNICEF indicated that it supported the treatment of these children between January and September 2018.
“There are about 400,000 Yemeni children suffering from severe malnutrition, which threatens their lives,” the statement added.
