US senate calls for cutting ties with Saudi Arabia

SANAA, Oct. 9 (YPA) –The  US Senate in the Foreign relations committee, Chris Murphy, called for cutting ties and relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia if the death of Jamal Khashoggi is proven.

“If this is true — that the Saudis lured a U.S. resident into their consulate and murdered him — it should represent a fundamental break in our relationship with Saudi Arabia,” Murphy wrote on his Twitter account.

Murphy told Saudi Arabia to immediately explain what happened to the journalist Jamal Khashoggi who wrote for the Washington Post.
