Deputy PM, Finance Minister meets Deputy Chairman of Investment Authority
SANAA, Sep. 19 (YPA) – Deputy Prime, Minister of Finance, Hussein Maqbuli, Minister of Legal Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mukhtar, on Wednesday met with Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Investment, Khaled Sharaf Al-Din.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the activation of the General Authority role for Investment in the current phase and the draft investment law amendment to enable the development of sustainable development sectors.
The meeting also discussed a draft strategy for the development of pharmaceutical industries and support investment in this aspect.
In the meeting, Maqbuli stressed on the importance of enhancing the role of the Authority in the investment and monitoring aspects to preserve the public interest and the state revenues from profitable investment projects.
Maqbuli pointed out that the Salvation government welcomes any investments that serve development especially in the agricultural and industrial fields, provided that investment contracts are not unfair to the Yemeni people
For his part, the Minister of Legal Affairs said that the current phase requires the correction of legal texts that made the investment absorbs wealth and harms the public interest without achieving any returns or gains for the citizen and his life.
