National Authority condemns coalition’s crime on fishermen in Hodeidah

SANAA, Sep. 18 (YPA) – The National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Response on Tuesday condemned the horrific crime committed by coalitions’ battleship against the fishermen in Khokha district of Hodeidah province, which led to the death of 18 fishermen and one survivor.

In a statement, the Authority condemned the ongoing crimes and serious violations against civilians by the coalition forces, and not to take any procedural steps against violators of international humanitarian law and war crimes in Yemen.

The statement called on the United Nations to form an international commission of inquiry into crimes against civilians and to hold accountable and punish the perpetrators.

The Authority reiterated its appeal to the United Nations bodies and organizations, particularly the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, to take serious and fruitful action to lift the siege and stop massacres, crimes and flagrant violations of the UN Charter and related international conventions and treaties.
