Yemeni army launches offensive on coalition-backed militants in western coast

WESTERN COAST, Sept.11 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees’ forces on Tuesday launched an offensive on the positions of the coalition-backed militants in Hays district in Yemen’s western coast, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack targeted the militants’ positions in the north and south of the district, killing and injuring dozens, the official added.

Meanwhile, the artillery forces of the army shelled the positions of coalition-backed militia in the west and south of Tuhita district, leaving human and material casualties.
