Israeli occupation authorities detain 21 Palestinian journalists
SANAA, Sept. 6 (YPA) – Human Rights official sources on Thursday said in a statement that Israeli occupation authorities detain 21 Palestinian journalists.
Palestinian Committee of Prisoners‘ Affairs said that the prisoners conditions in Israeli jails are so hard and contradicting to values and international conditions and human rights.
The committee said that the continue detaining of the Palestinian journalists and media men aim to silence the truth of Israeli occupation authorities crimes against the Palestine’s people.
The detaining aims also to make the journalist frighten and limiting their movement, the statement read.
The statement added that those journalists who lately detained by the Israeli authorities were arrested in manner totally opposed to the International charters.
Other prisoners suffered from systematic negligence to their health conditions, it added.
The committee called on the international community to stop these violations against the journalists and to implement UN Security Council N 2222 which ensure protection for the journalists.
