HADRAMOUT, Sep. 3 (YPA) – The first military region forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition on Monday arrested eight youth activists after their calling for civil disobedience in the city of Sayoun in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.
Sayoun city witnessed a civil disobedience in protest against the poor economic situation after the collapse of local currency that led to the rise in prices and the deterioration of basic services without any solutions by the government of the exiled Hadi, according to Yemen Press Agency reporter.
All shops were closed in response to a call for the implementation of the disobedience and several roads were cut off by burning damaged tires, the reported added.
He said that the military region’s forces deployed across the main streets of the city in an attempt to thwart protests calling for bringing down the government in Aden.
