Water Ministry condemns targeting of drinking water wells on Kamran’s Hodeidah
SANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – The Ministry of Water and Environment strongly condemned on Thursday the targeting of drinking water wells on the island of Kamran in Hodeidah province by five Saudi-led airstrikes.
In a statement, the ministry said that the targeting of water wells in the island of Kamran comes within the series of the war of genocide and repeated targeting of water installations by the countries of coalition, which has intensified in the past few months.
The Ministry confirmed that depriving residents of Kamran Island of access to drinking water reflects the tyranny of coalition and its crime against life and humanity.
The statement considered the crime a flagrant violation of all conventions and international humanitarian law, adding to the series of war crimes committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people.
The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to shoulder their responsibility for the arrogance of coalition and stand to stop the war of genocide committed in the province of Hodeidah and Yemen in general.
