Shura Council opens candidacy for SNACC membership
SANAA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – The Shura Council on Tuesday announced the opening of candidacy for membership of the Supreme National Commission for Combating Corruption (SNACC) as of Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
The announcement is based on the tasks entrusted to the Council in accordance with the Law No. (39) for the year 2006 on the fight against corruption, the council said in a statement.
The Article ( 9 -a) of the law provides that “the Commission shall be composed of 11 members from those who have the expertise, integrity and competence, and that the organizations of civil society, private sector and women’s sector shall be represented in the SNACC membership.
