Southern Sudan peace deals to be postponed to August end
SANAA, Aug. 20 (YPA) –The Sudanese committee of mediation charged in the issue of south postponed on Monday the signature on the final draft of the peace deal in the South of Sudan after the delay of the opposing faction led by Riek Machar, in presenting his comments on the draft final agreement.
Sudanese FM El-Dirdeiry Mohamed Ahmed said in a statement to press on Sunday evening that the negotiation will be continue for three days starting from 25 to 27 August.
He revealed the organization of a workshop over security preparations necessary to take, which will continue during three days, with the participation of representatives from Sudan, Uganda, UN and African Union.
Sudanese parties presented their notes on the draft on Sunday dawn, Machar did not presented it except at 6 P.M.
