SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Shabwa governor in the Sanaa government, Awad Al-Awlaki, has issued an important appeal to residents of Shabwa and the southern provinces, urging them to immediately leave Saudi-affiliated military camps to protect their lives and avoid taking part in any confrontations serving foreign agendas.
“Saudi enemy officers, commanders and their mercenaries are sheltering in underground military positions, showing no concern for the lives of the people of Shabwa and the south. They are exploiting the living conditions they have created over the past 12 years, while continuing to plunder the country’s resources and transfer the proceeds to the Saudi National Bank,” Al-Awlaki clarified.
He added: “The people of Shabwa and the south in general have never been a target of the Yemeni Armed Forces. This is something Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the President of the Supreme Political Council have repeatedly stressed in their speeches addressed to the Yemeni people.”
The Shabwa governor emphasized that the lives of the people and youth of Shabwa and the south are precious and that Yemeni blood must not be sacrificed in a battle serving the Saudi enemy and occupier, which, for more than 12 years, has continued to kill Yemenis and show disregard for their lives across all Yemen provinces, without distinction or regard for the sanctity of the blood of children, women and civilians. He stressed that Saudi forces continue to target civilians and civilian facilities in Jawf, Taiz, Saada, Hodeida and most of the country’s provinces.
Al-Awlaki voiced his support for the Thursday speech delivered by Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on the 1448 AH annual Martyrs’ Day, particularly its assurance to residents of the occupied governorates that they are not targets of the Yemeni Armed Forces.
He said the only targets are the Saudi military build-ups, led by Saudi officers and deployed to kill the Yemeni people.
The governor praised the victories achieved by the Yemeni Armed Forces on various fronts and in different arenas in support of the Yemeni people’s cause, bringing an end to the aggression and lifting the blockade, securing their legitimate rights, reclaiming plundered resources and driving the occupiers from every inch of Yemeni territory.
