SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Spokesperson for the Sanaa-based Ministry of Health and Environment, Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, confirmed that a citizen and a child were killed and four injured in artillery shelling by Saudi-backed forces targeting military build-ups in Haifan district of Taiz province.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that a civilian and a child were killed, while four other civilians sustained injuries of varying severity after mortar shells fired by Saudi enemy forces hit the Al-Amour area in Al-Arouq sub-district of Haifan District.
The statement said the attack was part of a continuing series of violations against civilians and constituted a flagrant breach of international humanitarian law, as residential properties and safe areas were being targeted without regard for civilian lives.
It also stressed that these crimes require urgent international action to stop the aggression and hold those responsible accountable.
