HODEIDA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – In another brutal crime, Saudi warplanes targeted the home of citizen Abdulwahid Al-Wassabi in Al-Tuhayta district of Hodeida province, on Saturday, killing five members of one family and injuring a child.
A local source in the governorate said the airstrike on Al-Wassabi’s home killed five family members, including the head of the family, two of his children, and his two wives, while his daughter was injured.
The source condemned the continued targeting of civilian homes and the perpetration of massacres, describing the international community’s silence as shameful. The source called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to condemn these crimes and work to protect civilians, civilian objects, and infrastructure.
The Hodeida local authority strongly condemned the horrific crime, stating that the deliberate targeting of civilian homes clearly reflected a criminal mentality devoid of religious, moral, and humanitarian values.
It added that the continued perpetration of such massacres constituted a flagrant and grave violation of international humanitarian law and international conventions and agreements.
The authority held the international community, human rights bodies, and the United Nations fully morally and humanely responsible for what it described as the Saudi regime’s continued impunity.
