Sanaa Government warns Saudi Arabia of heavy price over threats to Yemeni tribes

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The Sanaa government has strongly condemned Thursday the Saudi threats to target civilian tribal gatherings, warning against the consequences of proceeding with such a “folly” and stressing that the response would differ from all previous escalations.

Government Spokesperson Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti stated in a press release that Riyadh’s declaration designating tribal residential concentrations as military targets represents “an extremely dangerous escalation and a political and moral downfall.” He considered this announcement a definitive document of indictment and a explicit admission of planning to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law.

Al-Bukhaiti affirmed that threatening the Yemeni tribe is “a major sin for which the Saudi enemy will pay the price on the most severe levels,” pointing out that history has proven that the fate of anyone who opposes Yemeni tribes is inevitable defeat.

The government spokesperson explained that the tribal mobilization (Nakf) is an authentic social tradition and a peaceful civil gathering guaranteed by law, custom, and religion. He noted that the blindness and recklessness in the Saudi regime’s decisions reflect the scale of its military and moral defeat.
