BEIRUT, Oct. 21 (YPA) –Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday morning renewed attacks on several areas in southern Lebanon early Wednesday, targeting the towns of Zawtar, Kfar Shouba, Khiam and Kfar Tibnit with airstrikes and artillery shelling.
Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the Hamra Farm on the outskirts of Zawtar, in the Nabatieh District.
The area around Baathayel Pond on the outskirts of Kfar Shouba was also hit by 240 mm artillery shells, which also struck the outskirts of the town of Khiam, according to the agency.
The National News Agency reported that “enemy artillery heavily and intensively shelled the outskirts of Kfartabnit overnight, as well as the outskirts of Mayfadoun and Wadi Zibqin.”
Israeli occupation has been waging a war on Lebanon since March 2, following the launch of rockets by Hezbollah toward northern Israel. Israeli forces have occupied several towns in southern Lebanon.
A ceasefire was announced on June 20, after which the frequency of Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon decreased.
