Hamas denies Israeli claims on goods, criticizes Mladenov’s bias

GAZA, Oct. 16 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) rejected the adoption of the Israeli occupation narrative regarding the suspension of goods entering the Gaza Strip by Nikolay Mladenov, the representative of the Middle East peace process, demanding he stop aligning with the occupation and its human rights violations.

The movement affirmed that Israeli occupation’s claims regarding its interference, tax imposition, and threats to merchants—allegedly obstructing the entry of goods into the strip—are groundless.

Yoram Halevi, the coordinator of Israeli occupation government activities, claimed in a letter to international officials on Wednesday that Hamas demands merchants pay nearly 10,000 shekels (approximately $3,225) per truck entering Gaza, alleging this prompted the private sector to halt coordination for goods delivery.

For his part, Mladenov adopted the Israeli occupation narrative, stressing the need to protect civilian supplies, humanitarian aid, and commercial activity from coercion, exploitation, and interference.
