DAMASCUS, Oct. 14 (YPA) – SANA reported on Wednesday evening that an Israeli force of 8 vehicles infiltrated west of the al-Hanout farm in the southern Quneitra countryside, expelled shepherds, and targeted a civilian water tanker with gunfire before withdrawing.
It added that a patrol also infiltrated Wadi al-Raqad in the western Daraa countryside, raided a house, detained a number of young men for about an hour, seized a motorcycle, and fired shots toward empty land before withdrawing.
In the same context, the occupation forces continue excavation and bulldozing work in the Quneitra countryside as part of the “Sufa” 53 project, which has reached about 80% completion. It extends about 70 km from Mount Hermon in the north to the Yarmouk Valley in the south, and includes trenches, embankments, supply routes, and observation points. It advances from the north, passing through Bariqa, Tell Akasha, and Saida al-Golan, reaching the vicinity of the Koudna forest, at the expense of agricultural lands and pastures belonging to the residents.
The Syrian Interim Government is facing criticism for its silence, after its president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, declared following the fall of the Assad regime that he did not intend to engage in confrontations with the occupation.
