Petroleum company takes precautionary measures ensure stable fuel supplies

SANAA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based Petroleum Company declared on Tuesday that it had already taken all necessary precautionary measures to address any emergency, ensuring stable fuel supplies and the continued normal fulfillment of citizens’ needs.

In a statement, the company said the Al-Sabaha facilities currently held no stocks of petroleum products. Consequently, it added, any attack on the site would not affect fuel reserves or supplies.

The statement added that sufficient quantities of petroleum products were available at secure facilities and locations to meet citizens’ needs for an extended period.

It reassured the public that the fuel supply situation remained stable and said it would continue taking the necessary measures to ensure the availability of petroleum products and prevent any disruption to citizens’ needs.

The Al-Sabaha facility, west of Sanaa, was targeted in a Saudi strike earlier on Tuesday.

A source at the company also said the facility was empty of petroleum products and that the attack had no military value.
