Gaza death toll mounts to 74,382 since October 7, 2023

GAZA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday that the death toll from Israeli genocidal war has risen to 74,382, with 175,416 people injured, since October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report on casualties resulting from the Israeli aggression, the Ministry said Gaza hospitals had received five martyrs over the past 24 hours—three newly reported deaths and two people who succumbed to their wounds—along with 18 injured individuals.

The Ministry added that since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, the toll had reached 1,493 martyrs and 5,299 injuries, while 836 bodies had been recovered from beneath the rubble.

“A number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them so far,” the Ministry stated.
