LONDON, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators on Sunday took part in a large march in central London, calling for an end to Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
During the march, the demonstrators marched through central London, near the British Parliament, carrying placards calling for an end to the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza and chanting slogans in support of Palestinian freedom.
Amy Shalan, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, said the march was intended to express opposition to the continuation of the war.
She said Western sanctions imposed in response to settler violence in the occupied West Bank fell short of what was needed, calling for broader measures against Israel.
Participants also highlighted the humanitarian impact of the conflict beyond the region, stressing that events in the Middle East affect other societies and that the ongoing tragedy should concern everyone.
