RIYADH, Oct. 11 (YPA) – The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday the temporary suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, following multiple missile attacks launched by Sanaa forces.
GACA stated that the operations would remain suspended pending damage assessments and the verification of facility safety in coordination with relevant authorities.
In response, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged citizens whose travel has been disrupted—due to the cancellation or delay of flights heading to King Khalid International Airport—to contact Saudi diplomatic missions in their respective countries for assistance and necessary guidance.
The authority noted that further updates will be announced in due course, without specifying an expected timeline for the resumption of flights.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated that he had just been informed of the attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, indicating that he “will make a decision regarding recent developments.”
Trump added that the United States might participate in strikes on Sanaa and that he is currently reviewing the matter.
