Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi expresses gratitude to Taiz residents in televised address
SANAA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Ansarallah movement, extended a message of appreciation on Wednesday to residents of Taiz Governorate who supported forces opposed to Saudi-backed military mobilizations in the region.
Speaking during a televised address marking the third anniversary of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation and discussing regional developments, al-Houthi praised what he described as the courageous stance of Yemeni tribes across various governorates in countering Saudi aggressive war against Yemen and supporting frontlines.
Al-Houthi stated that despite the de-escalation period, Saudi airstrikes and missile shelling over the past three months reached 1,642, targeting infrastructure across the country. He maintained that Saudi Arabia’s military involvement aligns with broader US and Israeli strategic interests in the region, pointing to statement from Washington and Tel Aviv regarding strategic cooperation with Riyadh.
He criticized attempts to downplay these links, asserting that coordination between the US, “Israel”, and Saudi Arabia directly impacts the Yemeni population. According to Sayyed al-Houthi, US forces manage military operations while supplying weaponry to Riyadh, while “Israeli enemy” participated in planning strategy targeting Yemen.
Al-Houthi added that had Saudi forces achieved full control over the country, foreign powers—including the US, “Israel”, and Britain—would have been granted unrestricted influence. He rejected accusations that Yemeni armed forces targeted holy sites in Mecca and Medina, attributing the origin of those allegations to Israeli narratives.
