Hezbollah on ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ anniversary: “Resistance continues, situation open to broader regional developments”
BEIRUT, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Hezbollah stated on Wednesday, marking the third anniversary of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” that despite what it described as brutal warfare and genocide, Israeli occupation forces have failed to eliminate Hamas, Palestinian resistance factions, or the Palestinian population in Gaza.
The party emphasized that the current situation remains open to developments extending beyond the Gaza Strip to encompass the future of the entire region and international peace and security.
According to the statement, the operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” was a legitimate and courageous act of resistance in light of the existential threats facing the Palestinian cause. The statement noted that the outcomes of the operation should be measured by its political impact and core principles rather than by military power or asymmetric force.
Hezbollah added that the operation highlighted the resilience of the Palestinian people while exposing the reality of the Israeli entity and the US administration, alongside what it called the failure of the international community to uphold human rights and international law.
Reiterating its commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, Hezbollah held the US administration and Western governments responsible for ongoing atrocities. The party also cautioned regional leaders that silence or accommodation toward “Israel” would ultimately compromise their own authority and national stability.
The party concluded with a call to global public opinion to support international law and justice, while reaffirming its backing for the unity and steadfastness of Palestinian resistance factions.
