Military spokesman reveals heavy Saudi-backed losses in Al-Wazi’iyah

SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – The military spokesman for the Sanaa armed forces announced on Tuesday that the armed Forces had confronted and expelled Saudi-backed military buildups as they attempted to advance toward Sanaa forces’ positions southwest of Al-Wazi’iyah district in Taiz province.

In a military statement, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie confirmed that the Saudi-backed forces had made no progress, noting that Sanaa forces had destroyed a number of vehicles and armored vehicles, with dozens reportedly killed or wounded.

He added: “The gatherings that the enemy attempted to reinforce in an effort to rescue those remaining from its military buildups were targeted with a number of ballistic missiles. The strikes were accurate and direct, by the grace of Allah, leaving a number of dead and wounded.”
