Dozens killed, wounded in ballistic attacks on Al-Daghareer camp in Jizan
SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces declared on Tuesday they had targeted Saudi military buildups at the Al-Daghareer camp in Jizan.
In a statement, the military spokesman Brig. Genc. Yahya Sarie affirmed that several ballistic missiles were used in the operation, adding that the strikes were accurate and direct.
He clarified that the operation resulted in dozens of casualties among the targeted forces. Ambulances reportedly rushed to the site amid confusion in their ranks.
The spokesman noted that the armed forces would continue to target Saudi military buildups on multiple fronts in an effort to thwart Saudi plans to advance into Yemeni provinces and seek to occupy and control them.
Separately, Sanaa forces carried out an operation on Tuesday targeting Abha International Airport with a ballistic missile. They said the strike was accurate and direct and resulted in disruptions to air traffic at the airport.
The forces also renewed their warning to all international airlines against continuing to operate flights through Saudi airspace, added that it had become an area of military operations, with the exception of the airspace over the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
