Sanaa negotiator: Saudi Arabia resumes military escalation against Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 05 (YPA) – Head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said Saudi Arabia is once again escalating its military campaign against Yemen, arguing that the move comes after the resounding failure suffered by the Saudi-led coalition since the aggressive war began in 2015.

In statement, Abdulsalam said the Saudi regime is officially announcing an escalation in its aggression and blockade against Yemen, suggesting that Riyadh is seeking to return to the forefront of the military scene after a period of operating behind the scenes.

He further asserted that Saudi Arabia is now emerging under the weight of the defeats suffered by its military buildups to take a more direct role in the conflict, accusing Riyadh of previous efforts to keep the aggression and blockade in place while continuing to control developments from behind the scenes.

The head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation said Saudi Arabia was responsible for dozens of massacres, including those reported today in several Yemeni provinces, noting that the bombardment had targeted civilian areas and residential neighborhoods.

Abdulsalam held the Saudi regime responsible for the consequences and repercussions of its renewed escalation and blockade against Yemen.
