SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – A top member of Ansarullah’s political bureau in Sana’a, has revealed details of a proposal to keep Taiz out of the conflict, identifying the party responsible for the security chaos currently gripping the city.
He said Ansarullah proposed in 2015, at the beginning of the war, to keep Taiz out of the conflict by having all sides withdraw and leaving the official security forces under the administration of former governor Shawqi Ahmed Hail.
In a video posted on his https://t.me/MohammedAlBakhitii/1861 Telegram account on Thursday, Al-Bukhaiti said Islah Party leader Hamoud Al-Mikhlafi rejected all the proposals and set impossible conditions, including forcing Taiz residents loyal to Ansarullah and their families to leave their areas.
Following Ansarullah’s acceptance of those conditions, the party’s leaders also insisted on pursuing external agendas.
Al-Bukhaiti called on people who are still loyal to Saudi Arabia in the remaining districts of Taiz to take advantage of the general amnesty and lay down their arms to protect themselves and preserve Taiz’s security and stability.
