Saudi warplanes launch series of airstrikes on Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Saudi warplanes carried out on Tuesday a series of airstrikes on several provinces of Yemen.

A security official said that the fighter jets launched six strikes on telecommunications networks in Al-Nukhaila area of Al-Durayhimi and Al-Luhayyah district in Hodeida province.

The official affirmed that Saudi aircraft also carried out three strikes on Al-Dhahir district and six strikes on Al-Safra district in Saada province, while a Saudi airstrike targeted a civilian’s vehicle in Mustaba district of Hajjah Province.

Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Authority condemned the Saudi escalation, confirming that it had documented the targeting of a civilian vehicle in Mustaba area pf Hajjah, as well as four airstrikes on Sahar and one on Majz in Saada, in addition to a school in Haifan, Taiz.

The authority described the targeting of civilians and civilian objects as a violation of international humanitarian law, held the Saudi regime responsible, and called on the United Nations to condemn the escalation, document the alleged crimes and pursue those responsible.
