WEST BANK, Sept. 15 (YPA) – The Palestinian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday the death of Ziad Muhammad Jaber, 54, who was shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood of Al-Bireh.
In a statement, the Ministry reported that Jaber succumbed to wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during an incursion by occupation forces into the Umm al-Sharayet area.
Occupation forces had raided the area at dawn, firing live ammunition; Jaber was critically wounded in the incident and was later pronounced dead.
With Jaber’s killing, the toll of Palestinians killed by occupation forces in the West Bank has risen to over 100 since the beginning of 2026, amidst ongoing raids, attacks, and shootings targeting civilians.
