Sanaa Health Ministry: Saudi attacks kill 44 civilians, wound 38 across six Yemeni provinces

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Health announced that Saudi attacks and those carried out by Saudi-backed forces killed and wounded 82 civilians across six provinces over the past 10 days, from September 3 to 10.

In a statement, the ministry said that 44 people were killed, including five children, three women, while 38 others were wounded, including 11 children, five women. The attacks targeted the provinces of Jawf, Hodeida, Taiz, Saada, Sanaa, and Hajjah.

The ministry stated that the death toll from the Saudi bombing of the Central Correctional Facility in Jawf alone reached 35 people killed and seven wounded.

It added that the latest incidents constitute part of Saudi Arabia’s longstanding record of attacks against Yemeni civilians, including strikes on prisons, displacement camps, markets, schools, mosques, and other civilian sites.

The ministry also condemned international silence and UN complicity over the attacks, calling for an end to double standards in the application of international law and demanding that Saudi Arabia be held accountable and returned to the list of shame.
