Sanaa forces impose full control of Bab Al-Mandab, Mayyun Island

TAIZ, Sept. 10 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based armed forces had taken full control of the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

Field sources said on Thursday evening said Mayyun Island had come under the control of Sanaa forces, all Saudi military equipment stationed there were seized.

Earlier Thursday, the sources said Sanaa forces had taken control of the strategic Al-Omari Camp overlooking Bab Al-Mandab, seizing large quantities of weapons and capturing dozens of Saudi-backed Ali Amaliqa Brigades fighters.

They also reported that Sanaa forces had tightened their control over Zuqar Island, the strategic Dhabab Mountain and all mountains overlooking Bab Al-Mandab.

Sanaa had earlier officially announced the release of all its prisoners held in Saudi and Tariq Saleh prisons on the western coast, releasing footage purportedly showing the moment the prisoners were freed.
