Sanaa Foreign Ministry: Maritime navigation is safe, west coast skirmishes pose no threat to Red Sea

SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister in Sanaa government, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, confirmed on Thursday that maritime navigation remains safe, stating that skirmishes subdued in the western coast districts do not affect maritime security.

The statement comes as Yemeni armed forces (Sanaa forces) maintain control over the western coast near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, a critical strategic shipping lane for global trade and energy supply connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
