Sanaa forces take control of districts along Yemen’s western coast

SANAA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – Yemen’s western coastal fronts have witnessed rapidly developing field events, amid reports of military positions held by Saudi-backed forces falling to Sanaa forces.

Field sources said Sanaa forces have made significant advances along the western coast, tightening control over Khalid Camp and nearby positions around Mokha, amid a major and accelerating withdrawal by Saudi-backed Al-Amaliqa brigades forces.

The sources also released video footage documenting the withdrawal of Giants Brigades fighters, who they said were fleeing under the impact of strikes by Sanaa forces.

They said Al-Amaliqa Brigades commander Hamdi Shukri had set up a checkpoint to prevent the fighters from withdrawing and fleeing, threatening to have Saudi aircraft strike those attempting to return to Aden.
