IRGC captures US navy’s most advanced unmanned submarine in Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, Sept. 08 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy issued a statement to detail the operation of chasing an advanced submarine belonging to the US Navy in the Strait of Hormuz, the state-run IRNA news agency reported.

“By the grace of Almighty God, the IRGC Navy forces managed to intercept and corner one of the latest advanced unmanned submarines belonging to the terrorist US military at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, during a complex intelligence and operational mission early this morning,” the statement read.

This advanced submarine is equipped with the world’s latest submarine technology and was delivered to the terrorist US military fleet in 2025, the statement added.

“It should be noted that this submarine was seized, and images of it will be published in the coming hours.”

The US has not yet responded to this statement.
