Meteorology forecasts rainfall across several Yemeni provinces

SANAA, Sept. 04 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts continued scattered rainfall of varying intensity across parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the center’s weather bulletin, rain of varying intensity, accompanied by downdraft winds and occasional hail, is expected over parts of Saada, Hajjah, Mahwit, Amran, Sanaa, Raymah, Dhamar, Bayda, Al Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz and Lahj governorates, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain.

The center warned residents to avoid valleys, ravines, and flood channels during and after heavy rain, and cautioned motorists against crossing flooded low-water bridges.

It also warned of severe thunderstorms and reduced visibility caused by heavy rainfall and dense fog along mountain roads and passes.

The center urged relevant authorities to take the necessary measures to protect lives and property.
