Protest in Seiyun demanding release of leader in STC

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens organized a protest, on Thursday, in front of the government complex in Seiyun, the center of Wadi Hadramout, demanding the release of two leaders in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

The protesters demanded the immediate release of Basem Dweil, the director of the Youth and Sports Department of the Hadramout Valley Transitional Council, and Wael Marjan, who were abducted by the Saudi-backed “Homeland Shield” forces from the Al-Sahil neighborhood in Seiyun last Friday.

Participants raised banners and slogans condemning their continued arbitrary and unlawful detention, and called for their immediate release.
