TAIZ, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Heavy explosions rocked on Thursday areas of Yemen’s Taiz and Hodeida provinces following a large-scale attack involving ballistic missiles and drones.
Media sources said that powerful blasts struck Saudi-backed military camps in the Mocha district of Taiz and the districts of Al-Khokha and Hays in Hodeida, amid reports of ballistic missile and drone strikes.
The sources said the strikes resulted in casualties and the destruction of weapons and ammunition storage facilities.
Meanwhile, media outlets affiliated with Tariq Saleh, nephew of the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, affirmed hat sites in Mocha, Al-Khokha and Hays were targeted by around 14 ballistic missiles, along with an unspecified number of drones.
Sanaa forces have not yet issued an official statement claiming responsibility for the operation or commenting on the reports surrounding the air and missile strikes on the western coastal districts.
