Iranian missile, drone strikes hit US base, interests in Kuwait

KUWAIT, Sept. 03 (YPA) – A US military base and other key American interests in Kuwait came under missile and drone attacks early Thursday, Iran’s state-aligned Fars News Agency reported, citing regional media reports.

According to regional media reports, multiple explosions were heard across the country as strikes targeted US assets and critical economic infrastructure.

Fars also quoted the Kuwaiti military as saying it had activated air defenses to repel missile and drone attacks.

Flight-tracking data showed a halt in operations at Kuwait International Airport amid the threat of further aerial attacks, while two aircraft bound for the airport were diverted.
