BERLIN, Aug. 30 (YPA) – The German capital, Berlin, witnessed a massive demonstration yesterday, Saturday, in solidarity with Palestine and demanding an immediate halt to German military and financial support for the Israeli occupation and an end to the war on Gaza.
Hundreds of people participated in the march, which started from Potsdamer Platz and ended at Alexanderplatz, amid a heavy security presence, according to estimates by the organizers and TASS News Agency.
The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing what they described as “genocide,” and demanded a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered access for humanitarian aid, and a halt to arms exports to the occupation.
The participants chanted slogans in both German and English and the demonstration proceeded peacefully without any serious incidents.
