Qalibaf: Iran will defeat its enemies on the economic front just as it defeated them militarily

TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf asserted on Thursday that Iran will defeat its enemies on the economic front just as it defeated them on the military front.

In a message marking Government Week, carried by the Tasnim News Agency, Qalibaf stated that the current war has cast a shadow over the country’s economy and that the enemy has mobilized all its resources to pressure the Iranian people.

He added that Iran is waging a comprehensive economic war and that officials are making efforts to address the difficult conditions resulting from the war, emphasizing that the enemy’s psychological operations will soon lose their credibility.

He announced the Parliament’s support for the government in removing obstacles and reforming laws, calling for adherence to the directives of the Supreme Leader, support for the government, and preservation of the unity of the system.

This comes after US President Donald Trump declared an “unprecedented economic war” on Iran and threatened “severe consequences” for countries supporting Tehran.
