Sanaa holds officially sponsored economic bazaar to support youth, female entrepreneurs

SANAA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – A two-day economic bazaar showcasing products by young and women entrepreneurs is set to launch on Thursday in the capital, Sanaa.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment in cooperation with the General Investment Authority (GIA), aiming to stimulate the marketing of local products and create new commercial outlets for micro and small enterprises.

The bazaar provides an interactive platform connecting business owners directly with consumers to enhance the capabilities of youth and women in local manufacturing and innovation.

Sumaya Al-Khadr, Director of the Women’s Department at the GIA, highlighted that the event marks a significant step toward economic empowerment.

Al-Khadr noted that the exhibition features a diverse range of local goods, including handcrafted items, silverware, textiles, perfumes, natural cosmetic products, and food items. She urged citizens to visit the bazaar and support national production.

This initiative falls within broader government efforts to create a supportive environment for startups, generate job opportunities, and improve the quality and market competitiveness of locally produced goods.
