GAZA, Aug, 23 (YPA) – A Palestinian child was injured Sunday morning in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, as Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement.
Palestinian sources reported this morning that Israeli occupation forces opened heavy tank fire from eastern areas toward displaced people’s tents in Asdaa City and its surroundings, in addition to targeting several towers in Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.
A child was also injured by Israeli gunfire from the eastern area of al-Qarara toward Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
According to the sources, Israeli naval vessels opened fire in the waters off Rafah in southern Gaza.
The occupation military also carried out demolitions of homes in al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis.
Israeli artillery shelled the northern part of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the overall death toll since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, has reached approximately 73,419 Palestinians killed and 174,364 injured.
Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, the reported death toll has risen to 1,285, with 4,252 injured, in addition to 813 bodies recovered.
The ministry noted that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, amid difficulties faced by ambulance and civil defense crews in reaching them.
