Sanaa offers Riyadh single solution to stop war

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa stated on Monday that the simplest and least costly option for Riyadh is to meet Yemen’s legitimate demands, lift the blockade, and refrain from interfering in Yemeni affairs, pledging to match any Saudi escalation with an equivalent response.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, following the Saudi regime’s failure to adhere to its previous commitments and its intensification of the blockade, Sanaa instituted a “blockade-for-blockade” policy to protect the Yemeni people from a humanitarian catastrophe.

The statement added that Riyadh responded with further escalating measures, including the continuous mobilization of its proxy forces in the occupied territories—a move viewed by Sanaa as a direct threat to Yemeni security that the armed forces addressed appropriately.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia must realize it is inevitable that it must lift the blockade, end troop mobilizations, and grant the Yemeni people full control over their national resources.
