Tareq Saleh’s forces leave Mocha following Saudi orders

TAIZ, Aug. 16 (YPA) – The head of the UAE-affiliated Political Studies Center has revealed that Saudi military authorities have issued surprising orders to forces affiliated with Tareq Saleh in Al-Mocha, west of Taiz province.

The center’s head Khaled Al-Shumairi, who is based in Abu Dhabi, said in a post on X, citing a military source, that Saudi military commanders had informed leaders of Tareq Saleh’s forces that they must leave Mocha.

Al-Shumairi did not disclose where the forces were expected to relocate. No official confirmation has so far been issued by Saudi authorities or the concerned faction leaders regarding the report.

Tariq Saleh is a UAE-backed Yemeni military commander and the nephew of former President Ali Abdulla Saleh.
