Ansarullah condemns Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Gaza, West Bank

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) –  The Ansarullah Political Bureau strongly condemned the “brutal massacre” carried out by the Israeli military on Saturday in the towns of Ansar and Deir Al-Zahrani in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the bureau also condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, stressing that the targeting of civilians in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank, along with Israel’s continued escalation, constitutes grave violations of human rights and international humanitarian law.

The statement said the Israeli actions were being carried out under “blatant US cover and encouragement,” while accusing Arab regimes that have normalized relations with Israel of complicity and silence.

The bureau reaffirmed its solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and the Islamic resistance, stressing Lebanon and its resistance’s right to respond to Israeli aggression, defend the Lebanese people, and liberate the south.

It also expressed concern over Lebanon’s continued direct negotiations with Israel and what it described as concessions made at the expense of the country’s sovereignty and the dignity of its people.

The statement called on the Lebanese government to reassess its approach and make use of what it described as the Islamic resistance’s sources of strength.

The bureau stressed that the Lebanese Islamic resistance had established a “distinguished record of historic victories” in confronting Israel.

It further criticized Arab and Islamic governments for rushing to join military alliances that treat Israel as a friendly entity with which they can coexist.

The statement urged Arab and Islamic governments to make efforts to establish alliances in support of Palestine, its cause and its holy sites, arguing that such alliances would provide genuine security and stability for the region and counter what it called Israeli-American conspiracies.
