GAZA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement early Thursdays, demolishing several Palestinian homes and carrying out artillery shelling across multiple areas in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian sources, northern Gaza came under renewed Israeli artillery fire northwest of Beit Lahia. Israeli tanks also carried out demolition operations, backed by artillery and heavy machine-gun fire, in the eastern part of the town.
Further south, the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City came under heavy artillery fire and gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.
In southern Gaza, Israeli tanks opened heavy fire east of Khan Younis, while armored vehicles advanced along Al-Tina Street in the southern part of the city. Israeli forces also opened direct fire toward tents housing displaced families in the Al-Iqlimi and Bir 19 areas of Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, in central Gaza, Israeli artillery continued to shell areas north of the Bureij refugee camp.
