Sanaa FM urges Saudi Arabia to end blockade instead of seeking new alliances

SANAA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based Foreign Ministry said on Friday that, instead of searching for solutions to a self-inflicted crisis, Saudi Arabia should end the blockade and all hostile activities against Yemen.

In a statement, the ministry said Riyadh should instead focus on building alliances to support the Palestinian people and protect Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that any Islamic coalition that does not prioritize the Palestinian cause and confronting Israeli enemy is “doomed to fail.”

The ministry also argued that regional or international alliances would not deprive the Yemeni people of their legitimate rights, asserting that no agreement grants any party the right to violate the rights of other nations.

It reiterated that Sanaa remains committed to pursuing Yemen’s legitimate rights regardless of the challenges, concluding that accepting anything less would amount to humiliation and disgrace, which it said Yemenis reject.
